About Hairdresser and Make-up Artist Lisa Yaffe
I am Lisa Yaffe, a trained and experienced hair dresser and makeup artist, fully certified and licensed in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. I am a graduate of the Graham Webb International School of Hair Design (Arlington, VA) and the Makeup Artist program at the Von Lee International School of Aesthetics (Baltimore, MD). I have three years of Hair Salon experience and advanced training in the use of hair pieces and hair extensions by Amy of Denmark. In addition, I have ten years experience in the Special Events industry, and I am a member of the International Special Events Society.
My services cover anything in hairdressing and makeup for the bride, her family, future in-laws and the bridal party. A bride may choose from a wide selection of hair styles and makeup looks - I can do them all. When we meet for our consultation, I will find out from you what effect you want to achieve, and I will offer you options that take into consideration your special hair and face characteristics, the type of event you are planning, the colors that work best for you, your dress and veil design and what type of photography and videography you plan to have. If you wish, I can spend time with you trying out different looks. Also included in my services are: the application of false eyelashes (if desired); eyebrow shaping and plucking (if desired); face contouring; and the use of hair pieces and hair jewelry. To reduce the stress of the day, I will work at the location of your choice for both the consultation and the wedding, providing services to as many members of your wedding party as you wish. Also, if you want, I can stay at the wedding to freshen your hair and makeup for pictures and for your grand entrance as a newly-married lady. My goal is to make you look and feel your absolute best, and to enjoy the experience.
